Dr. Paulo S. Costa, Radioncologist at Júlio Teixeira, SA, currently coordinates one of the 4 Working Groups of the Alliance Against Lung Cancer, a group that specifically aims to “Promote access for patients with Lung Cancer to more effective treatment appropriate for your situation, in the shortest possible time”, and is already in the final stages of defining an initiative entitled “Patient’s Journey with Lung Cancer”, to be launched this March, which aims to understand the route, stages and times, between the moment of diagnosis and the different phases of the disease.
This is an important initiative that aims, in a comprehensive way, to study the main weaknesses and solutions to improve the effectiveness in the treatment of this pathology.
